    Yo Momma WHAT?

Stars: 2 Remix: 2 1/2 For the original assignment you’re supposed to take a picture of an object and make it basically unrecognizable. I had already done this assignment, so both of my remixes are from assignments already completed! Now, the remix made it quite impossible to relate it back to my secret agent, which is what I was hoping to do. I had another assignment chosen, and was going to use my secret agent in that one, but I was more interested in this assignment. The remix called for yo momma jokes. So I took this literally and took and unrecognizable photo OF yo momma jokes. Then I sent…

    Animoji Karaoke

Stars: 5 This assignment was super easy! The hardest part was finding a phone to do it with. I don’t have a phone with Animoji, so I had to use my boyfriends phone. He agreed immediately, but I didn’t want him to see me make a fool of myself! I went into the bathroom and used my phone to play the music, while using his to record my animoji. We had to fiddle around with the app, because it wasn’t working properly, but eventually got it to work. Then I sent it to myself and saved it from my laptop. Overall, this assignment was waaaaaay too cringe for my liking,…

Secret Mission Alert: From a Text?

Stars: 5 I chose to do this assignment because we all know what I love to do in this class. Do as many stars as possible, to avoid the write ups! I tried to think of how to do this assignment, first and foremost. I thought of using a friends phone, but didn’t want to intrude. I knew there was a laptop at home, but I was at school in between classes. I chose to do iMessage on my laptop, and changed the sending address from my number, to my email. This way, I wouldn’t get double of the same messages, because I’d be texting myself. I chose to go…

So You Wanna Do A Video Essay, Huh?

Stars: 4 For one of our assignments this week we had to do a tutorial for an assignment we had already created. I chose to do the Ebert’s Analysis assignment. I really enjoyed this assignment, and it could be difficult to know how to do without any background information. I had already made a tutorial for ClipGrab for an assignment, so this one was a piece of cake! All I did was set up a screen recording, talk in my head to know what I would say during my voiceover, save it, edit it, put in a voice recording, and upload it to youtube. I chose to only add music…

What is your least favorite photo?

Stars: 2 Remix stars: 2 For my first assignment bank I had to take my favorite photo and explain why. I chose this assignment to remix to give it some FLAVOR!! The remix called for doing the complete opposite of the intended assignment. I chose to then, make this about my least favorite photo. This proved to be difficult. I don’t really have a least favorite photo, unless I want to ruin my life by posting an ugly photo of me for the whole internet to see. Then, I knew exactly what would be the photo. I love this photo. But I also hate the background information of it. This…

    Assignment Bank #3

Stars: 2 I normally choose to do 2 five star assignments to complete the ten star requirement, however, there weren’t many five star assignments to choose from this week. I noticed that the star ratings change, as some I chose to do earlier have went from 5 stars to 2. I also chose to add music into the title and credits of this assignment. I felt like it fit well and brought the whole assignment together. I needed a two star assignment to finish up, so I chose this one. I also had to relate this one to my secret agent. I felt like my secret agent is me, so…

    Assignment Bank #2

Stars: 4 For my second assignment, I chose to do one where I explain a software and make a video. I just recently found out about a software called Clip Grab and I wanted to make a video on it to help my peers. I had never heard of this software, and it may be easy to use, but it could really help one of my classmates. I first had to google how to screen record on my Mac. After I found out, I just simply did a screen recording of everything that I needed to walk someone through the software. I left enough time in between steps to explain…

    Assignment Bank #1

Stars: 4 My first assignment bank caught my eye. I was scrolling through them and I realized that this one was quite the same as one from last week. I really enjoyed analyzing a scene from a movie last week, so I decided to do it again… but add a twist. I decided to do Amelie, as this relates to my secret agent, and thus the course. I said last week how her name was inspired by the movie Amelie. My twist was that instead of running through every single thing we learned about cinematography, I would just focus on one thing. That thing being camera angles. I felt like…

    Assignment Bank #2

My second assignment bank was my first step into iMovie. I’ve messed around with it a little, but I was completely dumb founded. I had to google the easiest of things, but eventually got everything to work out. For this one I had to choose 3 movie scenes that changed my life. I had to think long and hard about this one, as I have not watched a movie under this category in a while. I started browsing through Netflix to rejog my memory, but this did not do much. I remembered that my favorite movie is The Butterfly Effect due to its message. It conveys how you can’t change…

    Assignment Bank #1

This first assignment was kinda a struggle. I thought it would be quite simple. All I had to do was to make a video displaying Morse Code. I decided to take a nap before this assignment, and while I was half asleep I decided to youtube a video of it to understand how to do it. I remember learning about it vaguely in school, but we never learned how to do it. I found a video showing how to say “hello world” and I was going to tap one finger for a dot, and two for a dash. Listening to the video and trying to execute the tapping was difficult.…
